Complaints regarding municipality elections
The Election Appeals Committee rules on various complaints relating to elections and the conduct of elections.
The following decisions may be appealed to the committee:
A refusal by Registers Iceland to place a voter on the electoral register, as well as decisions concerning corrections to the electoral register.
A decision by a municipal electoral commission regarding the validity of a candidate list and other related matters.
A decision by a municipal electoral commission on the eligibility of candidates in municipal elections.
A complaint concerning the illegality of municipal elections.
A decision made by the National Electoral Commission pursuant to other legislation.
