Her appointment as Ambassador was confirmed by the Senate on 7 August 2022 and she presented her credentials to the President of Iceland on 6 October of that year. Both are lawyers who have been educated and have worked as lawyers for a long time, including as a barrister. The President of the Supreme Court, Benedikt Bogason, Vice President, Ingveldur Einarsdóttir, and Director of the Court, Ólöf Finnsdóttir, welcomed the guests and explained the operations of the court, as well as showing them the courthouse.
