The material was produced by the Centre for Easy-to-Read Language to ensure that it meets the presentation requirements. Their website states, among other things, about easy-to-read language: “Easy-to-read language is not just about simplification but is an important accessibility tool. It ensures that individuals with reading or comprehension difficulties have the same access to information as others. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) emphasises ensuring the right of disabled people to receive information in a language they understand. With easy-to-read language, we promote equal opportunities and independence for all.”

TR places great emphasis on good customer access to information, and this is one step towards meeting the needs of our diverse customer base. We are proud to have taken this step and to be doing our part to improve everyone's access to information on tr.is.
