The statement was signed by Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, Willum Þór Þórsson, Minister of Health, Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir, Chair of the Association of Local Authorities, Einar Þorsteinsson, Mayor, Huld Magnúsdóttir, Director of Social Insurance, Unnur Sverrisdóttir, Director of the Directorate of Labour, Vigdís Jónsdóttir, Director of the Directorate of Health, and Sigríður Dóra Magnúsdóttir, Director of the Capital Area Health Care.

In parallel, the Social Insurance Administration, the Directorate of Labour, the Directorate of Health, the Health Care Service of the Capital Area and the Welfare Department of the City of Reykjavík have expressed their willingness to cooperate on a special preparatory project regarding cooperation between service systems in connection with rehabilitation of individuals. The purpose of the preparatory project is to get the service systems involved to cooperate in special coordination teams, where the emphasis is on a comprehensive approach based on individual needs and that the rehabilitation will be continuous.
