20th February 2026
The Social Insurance Administration is offering an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd from 16:00 – 18:00 at Hlíðasmári 11 about retirement age matters.

The meeting will cover everything related to applications for old-age pension from TR, such as when and how to apply, what income affects the allowance, the payment system, and more.
Berglind Jóhannsdóttir, a specialist in TR's Old-Age Pension and Family Division, will present the application process and the calculation of old-age pension at TR. Following the presentation, there will be ample time for questions. Coffee and Icelandic doughnuts will be offered to attendees.
We ask those who plan to attend to register here.
At the meeting, we will provide a good guide for those who are considering retirement and wish to apply for an old-age pension. This does not have to be a complicated process, so it's a great opportunity to come and learn about the matter.
A recording of the presentation will soon be available on the TR website for those who cannot make it to Hlíðasmári.
We look forward to seeing you.
