Old-age pension

The December supplement for the old-age pension is ISK 78,626 this year and is based on the number of months the person received an allowance during the year. Those who receive half an old-age pension receive half of this amount. The December supplement is income-related, like other allowances for old-age pensioners.

Disability pension and new medical- and rehabilitation allowance

The December supplement for the disability pension and new medical- and rehabilitation allowance is 30% of the monthly average income guarantee in 2025 and 30% of the monthly average of the home supplement paid. The supplement is paid according to the number of months the person receives an allowance from TR during the current year. Based on a full income guarantee, the December supplement is ISK 63,146, but the amount changes according to the person's income guarantee percentage. Those who receive a home supplement for the entire year will be paid ISK 21,344 as a December supplement. Please note that the calculation method is the same as it has been in recent years.
