Approximately ISK 17 billion paid in January

Almost 73 thousand people received payments from TR in January, 72,865 of whom were women, 44,536 (61%) and 28,329 (39%) were men.
The largest group receiving payments are elderly pensioners, 39,171, including 21,413 women (55%) and 17,758 men (45%). The second largest group are infirm pensioners, 19,562, including 11,940 women (61%) and 7,622 men (39%). Rehabilitation pensioners were 2,829, including 1,781 women (63%) and 1,048 men (37%).
Total payments in December amounted to ISK 17.1 billion, of which ISK 3.4 billion was in cash. Approximately ISK 8.9 billion was paid for old-age pensions, ISK 6.2 billion for disability, ISK 1.1 billion for rehabilitation and another payment of approximately ISK 1 billion.
