December allowance for parents of long-term or severely disabled children

Parents of chronically ill or seriously disabled children who received parental allowances in December have received December allowance.
The December allowance is ISK 81,006 for parents who have received monthly payments throughout 2024. A parent who has received these payments less than twelve months in 2024 is entitled to a proportionate allowance in accordance with the period in which the parent has received payments during the year. The allowance will never be less than ISK 20,252.
The December allowance is paid on the basis of the Regulation on December allowance for parents of long-term or severely disabled children in 2024.
