Power of attorney
Individuals and companies can grant others authorization to request information on their behalf.
Skatturinn staff are bound by confidentiality and strict security requirements. Financial information regarding individuals or companies is never shared unless authorized.
Individuals and families
If someone requests information on your behalf, written authorization from you is required. Some authorizations can be granted electronically through authentication on My Pages on Ísland.is. Other authorizations must be granted in writing in the presence of two witnesses, who must confirm the correct date and signature of the authorization.
Companies and corporations
If someone applies for information or documents regarding the company, written authorization certified and signed by a board member or company owner is required.
Some authorizations, such as granting access to Tollalína and Web Customs Clearance, are granted electronically on My Pages on Ísland.is.
