Iceland Revenue and Customs obtained equal pay certification under the ÍST 85 Equal Pay Standard on 28 October 2020, confirmed by the Centre for Gender Equality. The certification verifies that processes are in place to ensure that wage decisions and procedures are free from gender-based discrimination.

The certification is valid from 2020 to 2026.

Its main objective is to prevent gender-based pay gaps and promote gender equality in the labour market.
