The importance of a diverse curriculum

Last Monday, Júlía G. Hreinsdóttir, the Head of Teaching at SHH, showed the educational material that SHH has been involved in, both for teaching Icelandic sign language and for teaching Icelandic sign language.

Last Monday, the Icelandic Association of Educational Technology, the Centre for Education and School Services, the Icelandic Teachers’ Union, the Icelandic Publishers Association, the Ministry of Education and Children’s Affairs, Rannís and the Schools and Leisure Department of Reykjavík City organized a workshop to increase discussion about educational material and its importance for Icelandic society. The goal of the workshop was to discuss the importance of diverse educational material intended to support inclusive schooling and to draw attention to the shortage of educational material in Iceland. Júlía G. Hreinsdóttir, the director of teaching at the Communication Centre, participated and showed educational material that SHH has been involved in, both for teaching in and in Icelandic sign language.
