Dr. Luigi Lerose

On Friday May 9th, 10:00-12:00, Dr. Luigi Lerose, research assistant at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and former chair of the European Association of Sign Language Teachers (ENSLT), will give the lecture: Improving Sign Language - Theoretical understanding of sign linguistics; Tools to identify linguistic errors; Practice activities to minimise and ideally eliminate errors.

The lecture is organized by the Icelandic Sign Language Research Laboratory which is a cooperative between the Communication Centre for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired and the Institute of Linguistics at the University of Iceland . The lecture will be given at the Communication Centre’s premises at Laugavegur 166, 4th floor. The lecture will be given in international sign language (IS) but will be interpreted into both English and Icelandic sign language.
