When damage has occurred to insured property

It is important to:

• report loss within one year, otherwise the insured may lose his right to claim compensation

• taking photographs

• waiting for repairs

• preserving damaged items

until NTÍ has had an opportunity to assess the damage.

Measures

The owner is responsible for taking measures that are deemed fair and justified to prevent or limit further damage. It is important to take photographs and consult NTÍ if possible.
