The Icelandic Planning Agency advertises two positions of project manager, one in the field of policy at the agency and the other in the field of dissemination, publication and events.
These projects require disciplined work methods, drive, communication skills and knowledge of organizational issues in Iceland. The participants need to be able to work independently and lead a team to success in a variety of projects.
Project manager for the policy area
Key projects:
Manage the work on the preparation and implementation of coastal regional planning on behalf of regional councils and electrical network planning on behalf of electrical network committees.
Aid for the creation and implementation of national planning policies
Manage various projects in the field of policy making, guidance, publication and presentation related to the role of the Institute.
Educational and competence requirements:
The right to plan according to the planning law is desirable.
Masters in the field of planning are necessary.
Knowledge or experience useful in the work, such as experience in planning and consulting in planning.
Knowledge of public administration in the field of planning.
Drive, initiative and ambition to succeed.
Skills in human interaction and positive interface.
Accuracy and accuracy in the work methods.
Good command of Icelandic in speech and writing and good English skills are essential.
Project Manager in the field of media
Key projects:
Manage developments in the field of media and oversee the website of the Organization and social media, as well as the newsletter.
Preparation and implementation of events in collaboration with relevant professional fields.
Preparation and publication of instructions, promotional material and other material in the field of planning
Dissemination of content and communication with stakeholders and media in cooperation with relevant management
Various projects in the field of policy making, guidance and communication on planning and environmental assessment.
Educational and competence requirements:
University education in the field of planning.
Knowledge or experience that is useful in the workplace.
Knowledge of public administration in the field of planning.
Drive, initiative and ambition to succeed.
