What do you want to know about private documents? Open House at the National Archives of Iceland

The National Archives of Iceland welcomes the public to an open house, where the focus will be on private archives – archives of individuals, families, organisations and companies that hold invaluable sources of information about the lives and society of Icelanders throughout history.

The open house will give visitors the opportunity to:
Learn about the importance of private archives for history and culture
Ask experts about archiving and preservation
Get advice on how to best register and store your own documents
View selected archives and get insight into unpublished sources
When: Friday, June 6 between 10 and 12
Where: Reading Room of the National Archives of Iceland, Laugavegur 162, Reykjavík
