Ástríður Jóhannesdóttir, the director of the National Electoral Commission, presented a report on the preparation and conduct of municipal elections, which took place on 14 May 2022, to the Constitutional and Supervisory Committee of the Althingi.

The report includes a report on the role, composition and activities of the National Electoral Commission for the year and discusses the preparation and conduct of the municipal elections on 14 May 2022.

Reports from working groups on the postal elections of Icelandic citizens abroad in general elections and absentee voting were also discussed.
