Pursuant to Article 120 of the Elections Act No. 112/2021, notice is hereby given that the National Electoral Commission will convene at Edda, the House of Icelandic Studies, at 14:00 on 22 September 2026 to rule on the validity of disputed ballot papers submitted to it by the senior electoral commissions of constituencies. Upon completion of that process, the National Electoral Commission will announce the results of the referendum held on 29 August 2026.
