Municipal elections will be held on 14 May 2022

The National Election Board has advertised that elections for municipal elections will take place on 14 May 2022. The deadline for the offer is 12 noon on 8 April.
The National Electoral Commission has taken over the Ministry of Justice's election website, elections.is. There you can find practical information on the preparation and conduct of elections in Iceland. The web is still being prepared and more information will be posted on the web in the coming days.
