Vacant position of forestry consultant in West Iceland

Land and Forest Iceland is seeking a forestry consultant for its operations centre in West-Iceland. (Update 27 January: Application deadline expired.)
Main tasks and responsibilities
Planning and counceling.
Basic mapping, afforestation and management plans, instruction at basic courses for forest farmers.
Assessments of forestry project quality and success.
Promote the development of forest products and value creation from forests.
Other assignments of Land and Forest Iceland.
Requirements
A university degree in forestry and experience in forest work is essential.
Organisation, initiative and independence in working methods are essential.
Positive and competent human relations are essential.
Good ability to provide information in Icelandic and English is essential, both in writing and speaking.
Microsoft Office software skills are essential.
Skills in using ArcGIS software are preferable.
Experience in project management, consultation and planning is preferable.

The institute runs operating bases in all parts of the country. In the West of Iceland, the operational centres for Land and Forest Iceland are in Hvanneyri and in Hvammur Skorradalur, close to each other about 15 kms east from Borgarnes.
