The gold diggers won!

The employees of Lands and forests did well in the national campaign Lífshlaupið, which has just ended. The institution was placed eighth in the category of institutions with 70-149 employees. Thirteen teams showed up for the Lands and forests game and the team The Gold Diggers showed the best performance.
The Motion for Life (Icelandic: Lífhlaupið) is a health and motivational initiative by the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland (ÍSÍ) that appeals to all age groups. The Motion for Life encourages all Icelanders to consider their daily exercise and increase it as much as possible, i.e. in their leisure time, work, school and when choosing a mode of transport. ÍSÍ uses the recommendations of the Directorate of Health for physical activity.
The new organisation, Land and Forest Iceland, recruited of course as a strong player, staging thirteen teams that spread across the country as the teammates did as well. The teams were made up according to a free method if you will. The number of team members varied from five to ten. All the teams were actively involved in the campaign and are therefore all winners in their own way. There were 87 participants in all, which represents about two thirds of the staff of Land and Forest Iceland.
