Summer jobs in Vaglaskógur and Tumastaðir

Do you want to work outside in a beautiful environment? Land og skógur is seeking positive and cooperative people for summer jobs in Vaglaskógur in North Iceland and at Tumastaðir in Fljótshlíð, South Iceland. The application deadline is March 15.

At Vaglir Forest in North Iceland, about 20 kilometers east from Akureyri, a camping warden's post is available for the summer. A second job is available concerning forestry work, thinning, fencing, planting, fertilizing and various activities in the recreation area. Applicants must have reached the age of 18 and have a driving license. The camping warden must be fluent in Icelandic and English, written and spoken. Free housing is available on site.

At Tumastaðir in Fljótshlíð, 8 kilometers from Hvolsvöllur, the summer employee is requested to work on the local plant as well as various other projects on the site. Driving license is preferred. Food is available on the site.

The wages are according to the current wage agreement which has been negotiated between the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and the relevant union. The employment rate is 100%.
