The theme of this year's conference is Forest Resources – Infrastructure and Planning. The Annual Icelandic Forestry Conference is held in collaboration of the newly established institute Land and Forest Iceland, the Icelandic Agricultural University, the Icelandic Farmers Association, the Icelandic Forestry Association and the Icelandic Foresters Association.

Lectures and discussions on the Conference Theme form the agenda for the first day of the conference, while the second day gives chance for all kinds of issues related to forests and forestry, research, forestry technology and related topics. A special application form has been prepared for those who wish to apply for a slot in the programme, whether you wish to give a lecture or contribute a poster to the conference poster presentation.

The deadline for submitting proposals for proposals is 31 January 2024. All applicants will be answered in the first week of February.

The deadline for submitting proposals for posters is 10 March 2024.

Registration for the conference begins in the first half of February.

The Annual Icelandic Forestry Conference is as the title indicates a forum for knowledge exchange and discussion in the Icelandic forest sector. The conference has been held for over two decades and shifts its venue from year to year between regions. Last year it was held at the Edinburgh House in Ísafjörður in the Westfjords, and the year before that at Hotel Geysir in Haukadalur South-Iceland.
