Adviser Position Available in East Iceland

Land and Forest Iceland is seeking to recruit an Adviser based in East Iceland, with a duty station in Egilsstaðir. The position offers a diverse and rewarding range of responsibilities in the fields of ecosystem restoration and sustainable land use.
The successful candidate will provide advice, prepare plans and oversee projects aimed at ecosystem restoration and sustainable land use. The role also involves collecting and recording data, monitoring and assessing the condition of vegetation and soils, delivering education and outreach, and undertaking a variety of related tasks.
Land and Forest Iceland is a knowledge- and service-based public institution dedicated to the restoration and protection of Iceland's vegetation and soil resources. The organisation plays a key role in improving the condition of these resources and promoting sustainable land use. Its work encompasses soil conservation, ecosystem restoration, afforestation, forest management and forest protection, with the aim of enhancing the environmental, social and economic benefits of sustainable land use.
