Organisation chart

As of 1 January 2026, the organisational structure of Land and Forest Iceland comprises three core divisions and three support divisions. Dedicated teams operate within each division, and information about team leaders is provided under each division section below.

The divisions and division managers are as follows:

  • Services, Advisory and Transformation – Jónína Sigríður Þorláksdóttir

  • Research and Monitoring – Bryndís Marteinsdóttir

  • National Forests, Lands and Infrastructure – Hreinn Óskarsson

Two supporting divisions operate across the professional divisions along with the Director's office:

  • Director's Office – Ágúst Sigurðsson

  • Human Resources and Communications – Hanna Þóra Hauksdóttir

  • Operations, Finance and Digital Development – Gunnlaugur Guðjónsson
