Sigurður Helgi Helgason

Sigurður Helgi Helgason is the CEO of Iceland Health, having served as CEO since 2023. He holds a master's degree in public administration from Roskilde University with a specialization in health economics and health care management. Sigurður has extensive experience in public administration and international collaboration. He previously headed the Office of Administration and Reform in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs and was also deputy permanent secretary. He has been involved in a wide range of projects in the field of health, including preparations for the establishment of Iceland Health in 2008, and is a board member of the Nýs Landspítala ohf. Sigurður has also worked at the OECD in Paris, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance, as well as leading the consulting firm Governance.

Áslaug Hulda Jónsdóttir

Áslaug Hulda Jónsdóttir has extensive experience in operations, public administration, policy making and implementation of change. She was the managing director of Hjallastefnunnar for almost a decade and assistant to the Minister of Higher Education, Industry and Innovation. She was a member of the town council of Garðabær for 12 years, was president of the town council and chairman of the town council. Áslaug Hulda has been on a number of boards, working groups and committees alongside her work, including on the board of Gildi Pension Fund, the Chamber of Commerce, SVÞ and was the chairman of the Association of Independent Schools.

Elmar Hallgríms Hallgrímsson

Elmar Hallgríms Hallgrímsson is a lawyer from the University of Iceland and has an LLM degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He completed a master's degree in corporate finance and business ethics from the University of Iceland, as well as a degree in securities trading. He is licensed to practice as a district court attorney. Elmar has worked in management positions at Samiðn, Sýn, 365 media and was for many years an assistant professor at the University of Iceland, where he now works alongside his work in the Iceland Health as a part-time lecturer in the Faculty of Business Administration and teaches, among other things, negotiation techniques in the MBA program at the University of Iceland, as well as at the University's Faculty of Business Administration.
