Advertisement for waiting list operations

Intended is to negotiate public health-related agreements with private healthcare companies. Public health-related actions is a synonym used for actions whose nature is that a single surgery is sufficient to improve the health of a person for functionality and greatly improved quality of life.
Persons who are able and able to undertake the task of performing operations in the following categories are requested to send messages to Iceland Health:
Knee and hip replacement surgery
Cervical surgery for endometriosis (endometriosis) (both minor and major, including cervical resection)
Rear surgery for cartilage thrombosis or stenosis of the spinal cord
Contracts will be made for a longer period regarding all categories of actions, or for up to five years. Participation in more than one category of actions may be requested. Similarly, more than one healthcare company may be combined to implement actions, in one or more categories.
Companies interested in taking over the implementation of the abovementioned actions should send a message innkaup@sjukra.is to this effect by 15 March 2024.
Interested companies are also invited to submit suggestions on the arrangements of the project.
