The contract is for the three older contracts and covers the following services:

• Prevention and dentistry of children up to the age of 18.

• Dental services for the elderly and disabled.

• Dental practice, other than orthodontic treatment, in cases of serious congenital malformations, accidents or illness.

The contract is valid until January 31, 2024. Apart from the merger of previous agreements, substantive changes are limited, as the intention is to revise tariffs during the contract period. However, various changes have been made to the tariff plan to improve services and make them more effective.

At the same time, a cooperative agreement was made between Iceland Health and the Icelandic Dental Association, among other things, on the revision of tariffs during the contract period. The aim is to conclude a long-term contract for the same service that will take over from the above contract in view of the results of the work that will be done during the contract period. Furthermore, work on the agreement on orthodontic treatment is ahead.
