During these weeks, HSN staff are working on the institution's strategy for the next few years. Representatives from the executive board with a consultant have travelled between the facilities and held meetings with staff to get diverse perspectives. Meetings have been held in Blönduós, Sauðárkrókur, Fjallabyggð, Dalvík and Húsavík. Meetings will be held in Akureyri and in North Þingeyjarsýsla in the coming weeks.

The meetings have created lively discussions and many good ideas have been put forth, including how to improve the service to the population, working conditions and job satisfaction. Based on this work, a new policy will be presented that will take effect for the years 2025-2028.

It is appropriate to start HSN’s next decade with a new policy, as HSN celebrates its 10th anniversary in October.
