Around 250 children visited the Teddy Bear Hospital in Akureyri last weekend.
Around 250 children brought their teddy bears for treatment at the Teddy Bear Hospital last weekend. The Teddy Bear Hospital is run by medical students and was located on the 5th floor of the health clinic in Akureyri.
The purpose of the Teddy Bear Hospital is on one hand to help children with their fears for being treated by medical staff and on the other hand to give medical students a chance to practice communication with children.
The children were very pleased with the initiative and the medical students are thrilled with the attendance and the facilities at HSN.
