A new and well-equipped health clinic for Akureyri and its surroundings will open in Sunnuhlíð 12 on Monday, February 19th, with all services and activities that have been in the health clinic in Hafnarstræti moving there. Psychological services and mental health teams will continue in Hvannavellir and home nursing in Skarðshlíð.

The facility will provide all general medical services, nursing reception, maternity care, infant care and other services for residents in Akureyri and surrounding communities. The new health care facility is specially designed for the operations, but major improvements have been made to the premises, which is about 1700 square meters in size. In addition, accessibility is all better than before and all operations will be carried out on one floor.

Due to the move to a new clinic, the healthcare service at Hafnarstræti will be limited from February 14th-15th, except for emergency services that will continue to be fully performed at Hafnarstræti until February 18th. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this.
