Healthcare clients invited to participate in study

14th December 2023

A group of clients of the Healthcare Institution of North Iceland have been invited to participate in an international study of outcomes and patient experience.

A group of clients of the Healthcare Institution of North Iceland have been invited to participate in an international study of services for people seeking healthcare because of illness.

A proportion of clients 45 years and older who contacted the healthcare centre over a six-month period have been invited to participate in the study. Invitations to participate will be sent by e-mail to those with a registered e-mail address at their local healthcare centre, while others will receive invitations via mobile phone text messages.

The purpose of this research is to study the working environment of health care centres and the care and treatment people receive at these centres. The research is conducted by the University of Iceland Institute of Health Sciences. It is initiated by the European Economic Cooperation and Development Agency (OECD) and covers 22 countries.

The Healthcare Institution of North Iceland encourages those who receive invitations to participate in the study to participate and answer any questionnaire they receive. Among other things, there are questions about physical and mental health, quality of life, medications, symptoms, lifestyle, access to services and communication with healthcare centres.
