Counseling for urgent matters available over Christmas and New Year

The staff of the Information Center of Heilsugæsla höfuðborgarsvæðisins will provide advice and guidance for urgent illnesses and injuries via the 1700 phone during the Christmas and New Year holidays. In case of an emergency people are advised to call 112.
The 1700 phone line will be available 24 hours a day during the holidays. The online chat on Heilsuvera will be open on weekdays from 8am to 4pm, except on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when chat will be available until 12pm. The online chat will be closed on weekends and public holidays.
We remind users that information about diseases and other health-related topics is available on the Heilsuvera.
Health centers will be open on weekdays between Christmas and New Year. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve centers will be open from 8am to 12pm. They will be closed on all official public holidays. Please note that it will not be possible to send messages to the clinics via My Pages on Heilsuvera on public holidays during the holiday period.
