New website for Heilsugæsla höfuðborgarsvæðisins

The website of Heilsugæsla höfuðborgarsvæðisins,(The Primary Health Care of the Capital Area) has now been moved to Island.is. All information about the institution’s services, both in the capital region and nationwide, can now be found there.

Ísland.is is an information portal where users can access details and services provided by the public sector. On the new website information is presented in a structured and user-friendly way, using clear language. The website is available in both Icelandic and English.
Heilsugæsla höfuðborgarsvæðisins (HH) operates 15 health centers across all municipalities in the capital region. In addition, HH operates Home nursing services for residents in Kópavogur, Garðabær, and Hafnarfjörður. HH also runs three regional mental health teams serving the capital area, along with various other regional services.
Also operates nationwide
Some of HH’s services are offered nationwide. This applies, for example, to four large mental health teams: The Children’s mental health center, the ADHD mental health team, the Mental health team for neurodevelopmental disorders, and the Brain stimulation center.
Specialized service units such as the Information center, the Cancer screening coordination center, and the Health screening for immigrants also serve the entire country.
Easier to find information
On HH’a new website on Island.is it will be easier for the public to find information about the institution’s services, just like other government services.
