Heilsugæslan Fjörður will be temporarily closed due to elevator renovations starting April 8, 2026. Staff will continue to provide services to patients at other locations while the work is ongoing. We apologize for the disruption and inconvenience this may cause.

Services from the health center will be provided at three locations until we reopen in Fjörður:

• Prenatal care and infant and young child health services will be located at Heilsugæslan Sólvangi, Sólvangsvegur 2, 220 Hafnarfjörður (see map).

• Psychological services will be provided at Þönglabakki 1, 109 Reykjavík, 2nd floor (see map).

• All other primary care services will be provided at Heilsugæslan Efra-Breiðholti, Hraunberg 6, 111 Reykjavík (see map), between 8am and 4pm on weekdays.

The center is closing due to elevator renovations in the Fjörður facility. We will reopen as soon as the work is completed. The estimated completion time is in May.
