Preparing for Childbirth
The objective of the course is to strengthen the self-confidence and coping skills of expectant parents during childbirth.
The course will cover:
How to strengthen a positive mindset towards birth and the parental role.
How to make parents active participants in the birth.
How to know that labour is starting and ways to cope with the onset of labour.
Factors that can have positive and negative effects on the birth process.
Various tips to facilitate birth and manage labour pains.
Interventions in childbirth and birth by Cesarean section.
The newborn baby, the first days after birth, bonding, and adjustment to the changed role.
The appropriate time to start the course is after the 28th week. It is important to commit to attending both sessions.
Arrangement
The course is a distance learning course and takes place on Teams.
Each course consists of two sessions, two hours at a time.
Those who register will receive a link one day before the course.
Cost
The course is free of charge for expectant parents
