Cervical screening is a cervical examination for asymptomatic patients. All women with cervixes between the ages of 23 and 64 years old who have had sex are advised to attend the screening regardless of the sex of the partner.

An invitation to a screening is sent out to everyone with cervical aged:
23 to 29 years old, every 3 years
30 to 64 years old, every 5 years

Results
An electronic response letter from screening is sent through Heilsuvera and Island.is once the results of the study are available.
