“We are delighted that a conclusion has been reached, as the process has been both long and educational. The result brings us continued collaboration with strong teams, and we also welcome new teams to the community. We are optimistic about the future and look forward to tackling the tasks ahead, further exploring our possibilities for using artificial intelligence in our software development, and continuing to simplify people's lives,” says Birna Íris Jónsdóttir, CEO of Digital Iceland.
Emphasis on knowledge
Digital Iceland’s framework agreement is based on private-sector partners offering their skills and expertise through two types of teams: full-service teams and web teams. Selected teams then take part in development projects and public sector digitalisation efforts in collaboration with Digital Iceland.
This is the third time this approach has been used. This procurement procedure, tendering for expertise rather than for specific projects, has proven effective in public procurement and has for instance attracted interest from public bodies abroad.
