Appeals policy

• 34,000 ISK when the amount of appeal is up to 3,000,000 ISK

• 70.000 ISK when the amount of appeal is 3,000,000 ISK to 30,000,000 ISK and when the rights and/or obligations are recognised.

• 176,000 ISK when the amount of appeal is 30,000,000 ISK - 90,000,000 ISK

• 269,000 ISK when the amount of appeal is 90,000,000 ISK - 150,000,000 ISK

• ISK 404,000 when the amount of appeal is ISK 150,000,000 or more.

Parliamentary Assembly

34,000 ISK.

Replicas and photocopies

300 ISK for each page.

Fees are not paid in the following cases:

• Cases for collecting wages.

• Child paternity.

• Cases of dispute over the paternity of a child.

• Legal deprivation cases.

• Electoral matters.

• Private criminal cases.

• Taxation cases insofar as a fee would be imposed on the taxpayer.

• Pre-crash issues.

• Deportation cases. Compare to Act No. 160/1995 on the recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions on custody of children, the return of children who have been expelled and other matters.
