Nursing homes
It can come to a point where people need more assistance than can be provided in their homes. All other measures must be fully exhausted before a request for a stay at a nursing home.
After the application for skills and health assessment is submitted to the skills and health assessment committee, the application is considered at a meeting of the committee. The Skills and Health Committee calls for a nursing letter, a doctor's letter and a social worker's letter before an application is submitted to a meeting. A written response from the committee will be received by e-mail if an e-mail address has been registered on the application. Otherwise, a reply will be sent by letter to the next of kin's address given when filling out the application.
Nursing homes provide day-around nursing services. Medical services, physiotherapy and occupational therapy are also offered. Information on the activities of nursing homes is provided the homes themselves.
To be eligible for a stay at a nursing home, a Pre-Admission Assessment must be made.

Health professionals can provide advice on the home available and, ideally, be considered individually.
It is recommended to visit and see the homes of interest and then remember where the individual in question will feel most comfortable.

What to take with you?
It is not possible to take a lot of furniture with you when moving to a nursing home. A TV and some kind of player for music or books will come in handy, and it is important to bring personal items such as photographs.
Then it can be nice to write down the person's "Life Story". She encourages talking about what the person remembers and knows, and hopefully prevents the householder from endlessly being offered food or drink that he doesn't like at all.
