Pharmacy license holders and holders of authorizations mentioned in Articles 34 or 35 of the Pharmaceutical Act no. 100/2020, who intend to conduct distance sales of medicinal products are obliged to notify the Icelandic Medicines Agency of the sale no later than at the same time as the distance sale begins.
The notice must contain:
name or brand name and permanent address of the establishment from which the medicinal products are distributed
the date of the start of the distance sale
the URL of the website to be used and other relevant information necessary to find the website
a copy of the agreement between the licensee and a third party must also be sent if other persons than the employees of the pharmacy are responsible for the delivery of medicines,
