No-debt certificates for individuals and companies

The no-debt certificate confirms that all tax claims due have been paid.

Before applying for a certificate of indebtedness, it is recommended that

• Make sure the debt status is 0 ISK.

• pay taxes and fees that are due.

Note that claims may be due even though the payment period is ongoing. This may prevent the processing of the certificate.

• The certificate is in Icelandic.

Company

To apply for a certificate for a company or legal entity, the registered user must be a registered proxy holder of a company in the Directorate of Internal Revenue.
