Recommend a political party for parliamentary elections

People with the right to vote can endorse candidates who intend to run for Alþingi. Collecting endorsements is one of the conditions for political parties to be able to run.

• The endorsement is a declaration of support for certain political parties in a particular constituency.

• Only one political party can be endorsed.

• An endorsement can be cancelled until the collection period has reached its deadline and endorse another political party if wanted.

• An endorsement cannot be cancelled after the collection period has reached its deadline or if the political party has turned in their documents before the deadline.

• Only those who are eligible to vote in the parliamentary elections can make an endorsement.

• The domicile of the person logged in determines in which constituency he can endorse a political party.
