Endorsing candidacies in the 2026 municipal elections

Endorse a candidate list (municipal elections)

Voters may endorse the candidate lists that intend to run in the municipal elections.

  • An endorsement is a declaration of support for a specific candidate list in a particular municipality.

  • A voter’s registered domicile determines in which municipality they may endorse a candidate list.

  • The name and date of birth of the person who creates the endorsement collection will be displayed with each candidate list.

  • A voter may endorse only one candidate list, but an endorsement may be withdrawn until the endorsement collection closes, allowing the voter to endorse a different list instead.

  • Endorsements cannot be withdrawn after the endorsement period has ended, or if the candidate list has already submitted its candidacy documents before the filing deadline.

  • Personal data of endorsers is processed as part of this procedure. The processing and handling of such data is governed by the privacy policy of the National Electoral Commission. The privacy policy of the National Electoral Commission can be accessed here.
