Lost or stolen residence permit card

If your residence permit card is lost or stolen, you need to fill in the form Lost or stolen residence permit card to report it formally. When a card has been reported lost or stolen it will be registered in the Schengen and Interpol information systems and thereby becomes invalid.

You can bring the form, signed and filled out, to the reception in Dalvegur 18, deliver it to the dropbox in the lobby or send it by e-mail to utl@utl.is.

You need to pay 8000 ISK to get a new residence permit card.
