The police must be notified of permanent transport of firearms out of the country.
The application must be sent to leyfi@lrh.is
Information needed
The application must contain information on:
applicant, such as name, national identification number and contact details
responsible person, if other than the applicant
firearms, such as national number, factory name, model name and model number
type and quantity of ammunition, if applicable
reason for export
dates of transport and route
Documents
Firearms licence
Confirmation of the authorization of the weapon in the country of transfer
Competing message of a recognised foreign shooting partner, if applicable
