Kilometer fee for electric, hydrogen and plug-in hybrid cars

Bulk mileage registration is suitable if you need to register kilometers for multiple vehicles.

There are three different routes available:

• You can register your mileage directly in the registration interface on My Pages

• If you have 10 or more vehicles, you can submit data in Excel or CSV

• Professionals can get a direct connection to a web service from the Icelandic Transport Authority.

Interface

On My Pages, the vehicles in question are shown in a table and for each vehicle there is a registration box in the column ‘Kilometer position'.

It is necessary to click the "Save" button for each vehicle.

When a registration succeeds, you will see confirmation, otherwise an error message will appear with a description of the problem.

Uploading Document

If you have 10 or more vehicles, you can submit your registrations in Excel or CSV.

In the interface, the button “Post mileage in bulk” opens a new screen:

You must enter the car number in the first column and the kilometers in the second column. You can choose to "Download template" to get examples of correct fill-in.

Once the document is completed (and saved), it is uploaded, either by clicking on “Select file to upload” or by dragging the document into the page.

Reading and processing of a document

When uploaded, the document is sent to the Icelandic Transport Authority, which reads it into its systems and processes the information.

You can go to an information screen that shows the status of the registration. In the case of multiple vehicles, the process may take several minutes. It is necessary to click on the "Refresh job" button to see the actual status.

• Number of registrations shows the total number of registrations (vehicles) in the document

• The next line shows how many registrations have been processed

• The bottom line shows how many records were successful and how many returned errors if any.

If errors occur, they are recorded in a table with explanation texts that can be downloaded from. csv format.

Web service connection for professionals

The service is available to connect to an online service that receives registrations of the kilometer status of vehicles.
