Increasing the number of properties in the Property Register

If you are increasing the number of properties in a multi-property building (an apartment building with more than one owner) or adding an apartment to your own property or a property to your own lot, you need to pay for the registration of each new property number in the HMS Property Register. When the payment has been received, the building inspector in your municipality will register and issue the new property numbers.

Information on properties

  • In the Property Register you can find property numbers and more information, based on the address.

  • You can also find information from the Property Register on island.is My pages.

  • In the Construction Register you can find detailed information about real estate, including drawings of houses and lots.
