If you choose to have hnipp turned on, you will receive an email when new documents have been sent to your inbox.

Recipients can opt out of getting hnipp in the settings in the top right corner of My pages/Digital mailbox.

Note, however, that not all organizations use hnipp, so you are not notified by email of all documents sent to the inbox.
