Foreign work machine rights are not valid in Iceland unless they have been assessed and recognised by the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health.

If you hold a valid work machine license issued in another EEA member state, you therefore may apply to have your license recognized by the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health (AOSH).
This is in accordance with the Act on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Employment in Iceland.
Applications must be submitted electronically via Ísland.is.

Employers may also apply for an assessment of foreign qualifications on behalf of their employees.
