Activate anywhere in the world
In the latest version of the Identity app, you can activate electronic identification with self-service - anywhere in the world.
Self-service is performed using biometric data in a passport and the person in question must:
Have reached the age of 18
Use smart device with NFC support
Have a valid Icelandic passport
You retrieve the Identification app or activate an electronic ID with biometrics on your phone or smart device. After an account has been created, you can use the Identity app with the supporting service providers.
